Filumena

"Filumena", a raucous Italian comedy set in Naples was our most recent production, staged on Wednesday 19th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd January 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at the Theatre, Battersea Park School, Battersea Park Road, SW11. Filumena is a former prostitute who has lived for 26 years as the wife of Domenico, a wealthy shop-keeper. Filumena, apparently seriously ill, begs Domenico to marry her before she dies. Domenico agrees, but once they are pronounced man and wife she suddenly recovers – and reveals that, unknown to him, she has three grown-up sons. But is one of them his?
